The Pacific Coast Coffee Association was founded in 1932 under a charter to support all organizations involved in the coffee industry on the Pacific Coast of the United States and Canada.
The Pacific Coast Coffee Association was established in 1932 by Reuben W. Hills, Jr one of the nation’s largest coffee roasters and Benjamin J. Older, a leading San Francisco green coffee importer/broker. Both men believed that forming one association would serve the interests of all in the coffee industry. The board agreed during that time that, “unified activity and coordinated effort resound to the benefit and progress of the coffee industry.”
Since the PCCA’s inception, the association has strived to encourage growth and prosperity in the coffee Industry by continuing the founding fathers philosophy of unity and active participation to ensure support to all members within the association.
The PCCA provides a forum for coffee professionals in all aspects of the trade where they can meet and develop new partnerships so that they can continue to grow and prosper while meeting the challenges that the industry faces on a daily basis.
